Started on Livejournal back in 2006, Gothla UK, now in its 13th year is a dark and gothic fusion festival, based on Traditional, as well as Fusion Bellydance, but featuring alternative skills such as marital arts, hula hoop, poi, costume making, stage make up and other crafts.
We are proud to have built a community based on trust, diversity and inclusion and have hosted many teachers from around the globe to bring the very best and push the envelope!
Our classes range from beginners to professional standard, so there is something for every level, and we offer drumming and non-dance classes for partners and/or non-dancers.
The showcase on Friday night kicks off our weekend in style and has inspired many students for over a decade to work harder and smarter.
The open stage is an inclusive opportunity and safe environment for students to showcase their skill as well an opportunity for us to scout for up and coming talent.
We also have a souk displaying some of the UK’s finest Fusion Crafts; our Gothla UK fashion show is famous and a MUST; usually featuring items from the Pussy Tat stall in aid of the Cats Protection League.
BBC folk award winning visionary Hannah James presents: The Jigdoll Ensemble.
Hannah James is an English clog dancer, accordion player, singer and star of British folk for over two decades. THE JIGDOLL ENSEMBLE is her most ambitious project yet. Starring an international line up of award winning performers, this stunning multi-discipline show combines dance, music, body percussion and spoken word in a spell-binding tour de force.
Hannah James shot to fame as a teenager, stunning folk audiences across the UK and beyond with her virtuosic accordion skill and rich, natural vocal style. But her breathtaking clog and foot percussion repertoire prove that she is as much a dancer as a musician. The Jigdoll Ensemble combines both sides of this exceptional artist in a show that transcends music, dance and theatre to be a powerful blend of all three.
Handpicked by James, the Ensemble features three musicians who are masters of their instrument: Glasgow fiddle player Kate Young, Estonian bassist Marti Tarn and, matching Hannah step for step, Hungarian percussionist András Des.
This autumn the JigDoll Ensemble are releasing their first recording, The Woman and Her Words. Recorded at Budapest Music Centre, this long awaited debut is set to be one of the most important records of the year. Exploring themes of toxic masculinity, belonging, the human experience, love and the female power which shines through all of James' masterful composing. Catch the JigDoll Ensemble as they tour this outstanding show, coming to the UK this Autumn.

The Wizard of Oz is a two act, full-length, ballet adaptation of the iconic tale by L. Frank Baum, told through the magic of classical dance. Set to a classical score which brings the story to life, this production is family friendly and is the perfect way to introduce children to the classical ballet.
The production is presented with beautiful backdrops, stunning theatrical sets and costumes evoking the iconic sketches by W.W. Denslow, from the original publication.
